LE-32R41BD Vertical Lines from DVD player

I get noticeable vertical lines on my LE-32R41BD when playing DVD,s on my Vieta VDR-3000 home cinema system (set to RGB out). The DVD is connected via a INOX RGB only cable into scart 1 (RGB). The cable goes direct and does not link with any other equipment. I have tried other scart cables with the result that better cables seem to make the lines more noticeable.
.
Other components connected are a Panasonic DVD recorder (Component video) and Pace Sky box (scart 2). I have read other threads relating to vertical lines but this only relates to the sky box which is not affected (although the picture is poor).
I have heard and read so much about how good the LE-32R41BD is but have yet to experience this.
Do I have the correct setup and cabling? Any help would be much appreciated.

Do you get two vertical lines that seem to split the display into 3? I had that with my DVD player. I had to go to the DVD setup menu and change my input source from AV to RGB (which is the same as your setup)

That got rid of the lines in my case.

Hope that helps

The vertical lines are all faint across the whole screen. the DVD is set to RGB, the lines are more noticable when the DVD shows its start up blue screen.

Did you solve problem? I've had same problem with sky input. Tried every option I could find but never resolved completely. Sky engineer coming out Monday to look over.

I still have the faint line problem with poor quality picture from the sky box. I have been putting up with this as I would like sky HD for xmas (wish list!) and would hope all the problems disapear with the HD box.
I would be interested to know what the sky engineer finds when he looks at your system.
Let me know if he manages a quick fix
Cheers
Tony

Will do. I could probably live with it if the picture quality through component (DVD recorder) and HDMI (upscaling DVD player) wasn't so good. When DVD output is connected through either SCART on TV picture quality is excellent so think some kind of interefernce problem with sky box signal (web searches indicate possibly PSU causing interference). The sky picture quality is generally really good with the exception that I get what can only be described as "transparant corrugated cardboard" effect across whole screen. If I can get this sorted I don't think I'll be bothering with sky HD until price starts to drop further. I'd probably need new pair of glasses to appreciate it properly!

Engineer just gone went through all things I tried with him so he didn't bother checking anything else and swapped Thomson box for a new Amstrad box (no Pace boxes on van) and hey presto no lines and a noticably brighter and sharper picture. Thought previous PQ was good (except for lines of course) but quite taken a back by improvement.
