I have been hunting the net for a while not for a peice of software iv been looking for, im not sure if it exsists but if it does im sure somebody here will know about it.
What I am looking for is a peice of software that will keep and eye on wireless connections and if found would do something like to following.
i)check of internet is available
ii)notify me it is available
iii)check emails ect
I think you get the idea, any suggestion of any software anything like this would be great.

Are you talking about constantly scanning for unsecured networks and automatically using them for your tasks? If so you *might* not get much help around here, many consider that action as dubious at best.
------------ Im talking about free hotspot in hotels, cafes, city centers and the likes.
The reason I am asking is because I tour alot and spend alot of time in hotels ane venues, also is i self employed i need to stay in contact as much as possible, and because i am lazy i would like to it without thinking.
------------ i set the WLAN wiz. as a shortcut on the Right Selection Key. so its activated by a button, and when i want it. wireless really is a battery sucker and you dont want it scanning all the time
