samsung a737
Hi
Just found this site, and it's helped me immensely already!
However I still have some confusion over the Samsung model numbers, especially when comparing prices ??the Samsung website doesn't seem to be much help! .
.
If anyone could help me out with the key differences between the models I'd really appreciate it. The main criteria I have for buying is for HD gaming on an Xbox360, so the important info is response time and contrast and the ability to display (preferably) 720p or 1080i.
Below is a list of models, and what I do know about them (to help out other sin the same boat as me!)...
LE27T51B - Price 599
800:1 contrast (does it have dynamic contrast?)
12ms response
1366x768 resolution
LE26R51B ??Price 699
Contrast?
12ms response?
1366x768 resolution
LE26M51B ??Price 799
300:1 dynamic contrast
8ms response
1366x768 resolution
LE32T51B- Price 799
800:1 contrast
12ms response?
1366x768 resolution
My main question is what makes the 'T' models so much cheaper ??is it just the lower contrast, and if so how much difference will that make, especially in gaming ??obviously the appeal of a 32??screen for the same price as the top of the line 26??is pretty big! Would I be better off paying 799 for the 26??for the improved picture?
Also, if anyone knows of somewhere cheaper to buy Samsung screens I'd appreciate the info! The above prices are inclusive of VAT, delivery is about 6quid extra, and they are available from Komplett
Thanks in advance ------------ For around ?799 to ?849 you can pick up the Samsung LE32R41 models ;)
I wouldn't touch the 'T' models as they don't seem to be a model that Samsung UK promote on their website - so would guess it is a european import or a 'cheapo' model...
Check out my review here of the Samsung LE32R41BD ------------ Hi there i had the same problem as you as i only wanted it basically for my xbox 360.I bought the samsung LE26R51BD after reading the reviews on this site i was quite shocked at how good the quality of the picture is especially for the price.Unfortunatly i havent played my xbox 360 on it yet as its for christmas but after seeing its qualities already i just carnt wait to see it in hd mode.Hopefully i will try and put a review on here in the new year but if i was you id get this lcd now as there in high demand.I could not recommend this lcd high enough and carnt wait to see pgr3 in all its glory well good luck on your quest for a samsung and lets us know how you get on Paul ------------ Ahoy there!
I found this forum whilst resarching, so avast to ye all!
I am in the market for a new TV. Having seen the Samsung LE32R51BD in Currys, I have conducted searches for it on the web. So far I have come up with 2 other model variants:
LE32R41BD and LE32R41BDX
Does anyone know exactly what the differences are between all 3 of them? I have found the BDX version @ rgbdirect for ?869.00 (inc vat) delivered. Is that good?
