samsung lcd tv

I'm new to this board as you can see, but my problem was with the above model TV. After 4 months of use with this TV it blew up with smoke pouring out the top. I contacted the place I purcahsed from and they sent me an alternative TV. Now I contacted Samsung because after some searching on the web I found out other users had been having the same trouble with teh LE Series of TV's. I also found out there had been a recall from Samsung with the TV's with Curry's and Dixons. .
I did get a reply from Samsung which made me very surprised. The reply is as follows:

[Solution]
In regards to your query, the 'recall' (which was not a recall as such -
sale of new units was merely placed on hold) occured only through Dixons
and Curry's and no other retailer chose to enforce this measure. This is
due to the fact that only a minor amount of our units have ever
experienced this problem, and so a lot of retailers felt it was
unneccessary to stop selling this model, as there isno health <(>&<)>
safety risk.
Unfortunately, it is vital for us to make contact with you so we can log
this issue as Samsung want to be able to trace and evaluate this problem
as much as possible.
Therefore, we would greatly appreciate if you could contact our Customer
Care Team on 0870 242 0303 or write in with your details so we could
call you formore information regards this."
Makes you wonder what the other companies were thinking when they decided to keep selling them. ------------ The same thing happened to me only last week, same model except mine is the LE26R41BDX (With Freeview).
Lots of black smoke, lots of loud noises :(
So at the moment, im without a HiDef for my 360.
Samsung sent out a repair man today from a 3rd party, and he said that he had quite a few samsung models being worked on now.
They also said that it could be up to 7 weeks delay.
So im pretty gutted at the moment. ------------ Hi
My Le32R41BD blew up after a couple of weeks use, rather than go back to the retailr, I stupidly phoned Samsung up and they sent a chap out to pick it up, that was over a month ago and no sign of it coming back. The 3rd party repair centre is still waiting for parts, really gutted.
