I'm not able to change channels/volume etc using my remote control.

Tried the discharge static solution and this had no effect so samsung sent a second remote. Still have the same problem.

Basically if you press a button on the remote the TV responds only once - signal just seems to get weaker until the Tv does not respond anymore.

Hoping someone can help as I am at my wits end!

Could be a loose joint? Has the warranty expired? If not I'd ring samsung up :)

In the end Samsung Engineer came to the house an reset the the TV by pressing a code into the remote ( takes ages for eng to come out).

caused by upgrading the freeview software which contained some glitch
